Analog Art, Digital Art, or Both??

I have Shiny Object Syndrome…there it it…I said it!

What that means is that I love to create in all types of media…collage, pencil, pen and ink, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, digital….and I sometimes love to combine them (technically that makes me a mixed media artist, so it’s ok then to have shiny object syndrome!)

One of the other things I love to do is art journaling, sometimes with journals I have made myself!

Recently I took classes with Drew Steinbrecher, who is a collage and mixed media artist. Each year he hosts the Digital Arts Summit where he brings in digital artists for short lessons. This is where I recently learned how to make my art journals digitally (as well as other juicy digital art techniques)

Most of these techniques involve combining work that we have done “analog” with digital work…..and it’s MAGICAL!
