Reimagining Space, Rediscovering Creativity
After weeks of packing boxes, sorting through old memories, and navigating the beautiful chaos of moving, I can finally say it: I’m officially in my new home. There’s something tender and full of possibility about crossing a new threshold—how the light falls differently, how the quiet shifts, how every corner is waiting to be shaped with intention.
And now, with a fresh set of walls around me, I have the gift of beginning again with my creative space.
It’s still very much a work in progress—half-unpacked sketchbooks on one side, brushes gathered in a jar that hasn’t found its rightful shelf, a small pile of ideas waiting patiently for me to breathe life back into them. But there’s a certain joy in this in-between stage. It reminds me how many versions of ourselves (and our art) we get to become over time.
As I carve out this new little sanctuary, I’ve also been quietly redesigning my Zazzle store behind the scenes. Even with the busyness of the move, I felt pulled to refresh it—to make it feel more aligned with who I am right now and the art I want to share with you. It’s taking shape slowly, but lovingly. New layouts, new product visions, new possibilities. I can’t wait to show you more soon, But in case you want to check it out:
I am making more and more personalized items (great for this time of year!)
If you’re reading this and feeling stuck in your own space or routine, consider this your gentle nudge: you, too, can recreate your environment in ways that support your creativity. You don’t need a move to do it. Sometimes it starts with clearing a single surface, rearranging a corner, or letting go of one thing that no longer feels like you.
Creativity doesn’t disappear during life’s transitions—it simply waits. It adapts. It finds its way back the moment we make room for it, even if that room is small or imperfect or still being painted in metaphorical (or literal) fresh colors.
Wherever you are today, I hope you find a pocket of space—internal or external—that invites you back to yourself. And I’m excited to keep sharing this new chapter with you as my own space comes into focus, piece by piece, brushstroke by brushstroke.
